Last week I unveiled this new weekly newsletter designed to support you in creating a Higher Life.

The response has been fantastic! I received some glorious replies to my first edition and thank you to those of you who responded.

Here’s a link if you’d like to read it.

Now that the first official week of the year has passed, I hope you’ve been using your time wisely. Whether you are back at work or on holidays, we’ve all metaphorically turned the page and started a new chapter.

For many of us that means reflecting, resetting or reviewing our life goals which often comes with anxiety with a dash of feeling overwhelmed.

When you align yourself to a higher way of thinking these feelings will dissipate because Higher Thinking allows you to move forward with certainty. An inner knowing of clarity, that no matter what life presents, you will be able to move through it with courage and grace.

None of us are immune to the cost of living these days, the ongoing wars or the inevitable challenging circumstances of life. Yet the one thing we do have control over is our thinking and when we activate this level of awareness we will live a Higher Life.

I hope you enjoy this weeks thinking.

Onwards,

One Higher Thought

The power of a Single Word.

I have often been in awe of the english language and in recent years I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for the meaning behind certain words.

When I was faced with making an extreme and heartbreaking major life decision a few years back the word “problem” took on a whole new meaning.

Jokingly to those around me I would say, “You don’t have a problem. “THIS (insert X here) is a problem!” 🤣 I would then laugh and offer myself a moment of self deprecation. (To both ease the pain and give myself such much needed light relief!) What became fascinating was how my relationship to the word “problem” and other certain words changed.

I developed a deep reverence for the beauty and simplicity of the english language and it highlighted to me the inherent power and story behind our choice of words.

As we enter the new year many of us are making resolutions, setting goals and making plans. An easy way to stay focused on what matters is to choose your word for the year.

Instead of a rigid resolution, or specific goal, your word of the year is a simple and grounding anchor. Designed to tether your energy and support your vision and plans.  When those inevitable lower moments arise “your word” will magically give you the wisdom and courage you need to move forward.

It will become your guiding Higher Thought.

One Higher Quote

To quote Tom Stoppard, “Words are sacred. If you get the right ones in the right order you can nudge the world a little.”

Reflect: Then consider sharing this thought with others.

Today as you consider your word for the year remember, Words Are Sacred

Two Higher Questions

Your word of the year gives you an anchor and sets an intention. It is a theme per se, for the person you are and want to become.

This week as you decide upon your guiding higher thought ask yourself these Two Higher Questions.

  1. What word reflects the person I wish to be?
  2. How can this word support and bring my highest priority to life?

Recommended: Use these as journaling prompts for the year ahead.

Three Higher Actions

1. Write It Down

Write your word down, the secret is everyday.

Taking five seconds each day to write down your higher guiding thought will have a profound impact on your results.

2. Change Your Behaviour

When you choose your word, make it who you are and what you do.

The key is to reflect your chosen word in your actions and behaviours. For example if your word is abundant, ask yourself everyday “Is that what an abundant person would do?”

3. Take Action

What does your word look like on a daily basis? What will you have more of because of this word. What could you have less of? What will you have to change about your routine to bring the true meaning of your word to life? What will you have to do to become it?

Make your word your masthead for the year, otherwise it’s just a word. A word that felt exciting for a week and was then forgotten.

Your Higher Life

What is one word, that if you embodied it would change your whole life?

Remember: Your thoughts create your reality, choose the Higher Thought.

As always, send your Higher Thoughts to me by simply replying to this email.

Until next week,

P.S. Don’t underestimate the energy of a Higher Guiding Thought. This kind of thinking has power. More power than most of us realise. Tune into the truth of that reality and invite in Higher Thoughts.
